Philadelphia was apparently impressed by Bears coordinator Adam Gase.
According to Pro Football Talk, The Eagles, Browns and Dolphins are all aggressively pursuing the 37-year-old assistant, who is credited with reviving Jay Cutler's career. Perhaps Gase is too busy with his other interviews to head back to Philly a second time.
After last season, John Fox was sacked from the Broncos and hired with the Chicago Bears and Gase followed Fox to Chicago as the Bears offensive coordinator.
As reported earlier today by the Inquisitr, the Eagles liked Gase so much in their first interview with him, they chose to offer him a second interview.
If the rumors are true, letting Gase go without an acceptance may prove to be a huge mistake for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Dolphins like Gase, but they seem to be planning a methodical search, making a deliberate effort to find the right candidate for the job. He reportedly has interviews set up with the Browns, Dolphins and New York Giants over the next few days.
But there are other candidates out there, including Hue Jackson, one of the top names on the market and someone you'd think the Dolphins have legitimate interest in interviewing.
"The source said no second interview has been planned yet with any candidate". Eagles running backs coach Duce Staley and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur already interviewed.
The Eagles have also been linked to Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter and Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin, but the team hasn't confirmed interviews. He was the Broncos' offensive coordinator for the two previous seasons.
The coach-personnel head relationship is an important one in the construction of any team.
