Apple is expected to launch the new-generation iPhone in the fall, but little is known so far in terms of design, except for the fact that it might give up on the audio jack. Now, new rumors suggest that the tech giant will camouflage some of the lines for good with the upcoming iPhone 7.
Apple CEO Tim Cook speaks during an Apple event in San Francisco, California March 9, 2015.
Apple appears to be working on incorporating a dual-lens camera system to the device which could change the smartphone's overall design.
The rumoured removal of these bands suggests that the body of the next iPhone may not be made from metal at all, but some other kind of material.
It is likely that the company didn't want their customers to choose from three different variants of the iPad, and hence held back the device for 2016, which many believe, could be as soon as March 2016. The iPhone 5SE, if it arrives at all, is expected to replace the iPhone 5S, possibly bringing a colourful metal build with it.
While that is in keeping with rivals such as Samsung and HTC, Apple's failure to tweak the design would likely impact both on the device's critical reception and, potentially, its wider sales.
It is being said that the model iPhone 5se is supposed to have the same hardware guts and design as the iPhone 6s does. "Unconfirmed drawings from case maker sources of the new iPad model also indicate the possibility of a rear-LED flash, and this addition would be a first for any iPad model".
