Renault have released preview shots of their new Scenic, which will have its world premiere at next week's Geneva International Motor Show.
There was a time, a decade or two ago, when the big market was MPVs, and the Renault Scenic was a big seller throughout Europe.
Finally, Renault also says that the new Scenic features a three-part windscreen that "provides a panoramic view and enhanced visibility". The all-new model seen in the picture is a dual-tone with gold-black combination. The GT however comes with a much stiffer suspension setup than the other variants and is equipped with bigger brakes and tuned chassis by Renaultsport. Like the platform and design, the interior layout will be similar to these models as well. This includes the new R-Link 2 infotainment system with a portrait-format 8.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display.
Renault offers the Sport Tourer with a wide palette of gasoline- and diesel-burning engines that range from a 90-horsepower 1.5-liter dCi turbodiesel four-cylinder to a 1.6-liter gasoline-burning four-banger that generates 205 horsepower.
The new SCENIC redefines MPV thinking with a fresh approach to the segment's traditional cues.
The new Renault Scenic will debut next week in Geneva, and will nearly inevitably be followed by a seven-seat Grand Scenic.
The estate version of the Megane is evolved directly from the latest and more high-tech hatch range that debuted at the Frankfurt show in September 2015 and is due on United Kingdom sale in the summer of 2016.
