Jim Parsons, Jemaine Clement in, Kunal Nayyar out of Emmy Nominations 2009

Emmy Nominations 2009 have been announced and Jim Parsons, Jemaine Clement have been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series. Another hopeful Kunal Nayyar has not been nominated. The other nominations in this category include Alec Baldwinm, Tony Shalhoub, Steve Carell and Charlie Sheen.

Jemaine Clement has also been nominated in Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics category and Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series category.

Chandra Wilson has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie category for her role of Yvonne in Accidental Friendship (Hallmark Channel). She has also been nominated in Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series category for her role of  Dr. Miranda Bailey in Grey’s Anatomy (ABC).

The 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 20, 2009.CBS will broadcast the event, which will take place again at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The complete nominations list is here.

Michael Jackson Pepsi Commercial : Hair on Fire

When Michael Jackson’s hair caught fire during the Pepsi Commercial, it was a defining moment for him. Usmagazine has the video which is "The harrowing, never-before-seen footage of the singer’s 1984 Pepsi commercial accident."

Jackson suffered a setback on January 27, 1984, causing repercussions for the rest of his life. While filming a Pepsi Cola commercial at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, he suffered second degree burns to his scalp after pyrotechnics accidentally set his hair on fire.

Happening in front of a full house of fans during a simulated concert, the incident elicited an outpouring of sympathy. Jackson had his third rhinoplasty shortly afterwards,[16] and began treatment to hide the scars on his scalp. It was during this period, friends say, that he began using the painkillers to which he later became addicted.

Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend Hailey Glassman used Marijuana once?

Well, there is this buzz doing rounds that Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend Hailey Glassman was once arrested in 2005 for the use of Marijuana while she was a student in Indiana University. USmagazine reports that The case was settled outside of court. A judgment was withheld. She paid fines and court costs and was put on probation.

The duo Jon and Hailey were on a weekend trip to France and visited St. Tropez and Cannes. However. jon has returned to New York without Hailey apparently because they don’t want too much publicity.

Jon Gosselin and Hailey Glassman had come out in open with their relationship when they had appeared together while going on Christian Audigier’s yacht in France.

Jon Gosselin is known for being featured on the American reality TV show Jon & Kate Plus 8, on which he appears with his wife Kate (broken up), and their eight children.

WBCN 104.1 FM to give way to Mix 98.5

WBCN 104.1 FM  or the Rock of Boston will soon be history. It has been reported that CBS, ‘BCN’s owner, is moving Mix 98.5 to 104.1, WBCN’s frequency, and starting a new, all-sports station-apparently to be dubbed the Sports Hub, and to carry the call letters WBZ-FM-at Mix’s spot on the dial.

WBCN is a modern rock/active rock station that mixes music that is popular in the modern rock, alternative rock and Classic rock genres. Known as ‘The Rock Of Boston’, its two main Boston-area competitors are Album Oriented Rock/Active rock WAAF and alternative music WFNX.

In 2007, the station was nominated for the top 25 markets Alternative station of the year award by Radio & Records magazine.

Disney Channel Scavenger Hunt Sweepstakes: The Official Rules

Disney Channel Scavenger Hunt is on and many will overlook the rules in their bid for Sweepstakes. Here we present the summary of official rules:

1. This Sweepstakes may only be entered by Internet.

2.  Visit DisneyChannel.com/ScavengerSweepstakes where you can obtain a printable checklist ("Checklist") which contains a list of the Items you will be looking for

3. Tune into Disney Channel and watch for the sneak peaks for the Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana crossover event ("Show"). The Sneak Peeks will feature the first five Items you should look for.

4. Watch the Show on Disney Channel on July 17, 2009 at 8PM (ET)/7 PM (CT) to look for the sixth Item.Then visit DisneyChannel.com/ScavengerSweepstakes during the Entry Period to answer one multiple-choice question ("Question") about each item. If you do not correctly answer each Question about the Items, you will be asked to try again until you do answer correctly

5. Once all six (6) Questions have been answered correctly, entrants can access the Sweepstakes entry form to complete their entry ("Entry").

6. All Entries must be received by 11:59:59 P.M. PT, July 20, 2009. Entries are limited to one Entry per Member.
