The 24 year old actress describes herself in her Twitter account as Actress Designer Musician Director/Writer/Producer Artist of many things.. , we assume that it is because of so many roles that this part girl has to play that she actually gets no time to attend the weekly alcohol education classes imposed on her by court for two 2007 drunken driving arrests.

Now the star has been sentenced to 90 days jail term for violating court orders on a regular basis. The ‘Mean Girls’ star is to surrender on July 20^th to begin her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, in a wing that is separate from the rest of the jail population. Apart from the jail term, the actress has also been ordered to spend 90 days in a locked-down drug rehabilitation facility.

The multi-tasking actress broke down on hearing the sentence and pleaded directly with the judge saying “I have to provide for myself. I have to work; I did everything to balance my jobs and showing up. I’m not taking this as a joke. It’s my life. It’s my career. … I take responsibility for my actions. I’ve tried to do the best I can.”

However the judge would have none of it, stating the with regard to these cases Lohan had always been lying. Firstly she refused to admit her culpability on insisting someone else was driving the vehicle on both the occasions, and then she failed to appear for a mandatory court appearance, citing reasons that she had lost her passport and continuously violated court orders by giving excuses for not being able to attend classes. The judge refused to reduce her sentence term saying "She lied then and lied prior to that” and that she had violated court orders “not once but seven times”.

Lohan ‘s rising career was adversely affected when the rising actress was convicted in these two DUI incidents in 2007 consequently making her lose several movie deals and now with this court judgement the actress may almost end up writing off her already struggling career totally.

The only hope Lohan has now is that she might be released from prison much before 90 days on account of good behaviour, as that’s what usually done in order to reduce the overcrowding in prisons.

Whether or not Lohan will this time seriously emerge as rehabilitated person will be known much later, but till the meantime at least we will be spared from hearing about her irrational attention seeking gimmicks in the gossip columns on a daily basis.

What happened, Lindsay? This is the question that is going through the mind of every Lohan fan out there. Her life seems to be spiraling out of control these days. Just recently, her assistant Eleonore gave up her job and called it quits. This means more problems for the young starlet, as her friends point out the fact that without a good assistant to hold all the strands of her life together she might end up toeing the thin line between freedom and jail again. It’s difficult in Hollywood to get a bright assistant who can handle all your work schedules and appointments efficiently.

Eleonore quit Wednesday, having lasted a few months before she became "exhausted" and walked because she had "had enough of Lindsay’s demands."Lindsay would often force Eleonore to stay with her for days on end, and then blame her when things went wrong. This is something which we can sympathize with Eleonore. We just hope that Lindasy pulls herself together in good time and good health, to get back into the game. Her movie career graph is going down along with her musical ambitions. Her devoted fans would not want that, would they?

TMZ has learned … Rob Lowe and mogul Tom Barrack have set their sights on their first big acquisition as a team — Miramax Films.

We’re told the deal is being put together quickly and could close as early as today.
TMZ broke the story … Lowe and Barrack have teamed up with Flavio Briatore (a major Formula One player) and Giuseppe Cipriani (owner of the famed restaurant) to create "a multi-platform media company, similar to DreamWorks."
UPDATE:  TMZ has learned the Miramax offer involves 3 players, Lowe, Barrack and Ron Tutor, a construction mogul.  We’re told Briatore and Cipriani are not involved in the Miramax deal.

Friends of Lindsay Lohan tell TMZ … they fear for her safety — even her survival — during her two weeks of freedom before going to jail.

The judge could have sent Lindsay to the slammer immediately, but instead gave her until July 20 to turn herself in.  Friends worry that Lindsay is now fully off the hinges and may not be able to resist the drugs and alcohol.
The catch-22 — if Lindsay falls off the wagon she could end up getting even more jail time.  Even worse, her friends worry Lindsay could become so irrational she could harm herself.
As if there weren’t enough temptation … there’s a big belated birthday bash for Lindsay set for tonight at an L.A. club — not the best place for a future inmate with a SCRAM accessory.

Whether or not the audiences enjoyed the rom -com ‘I Hate Luv Story’s, the critics did. And it’s their thumbs up to the movie is still resulting in packed movie theatres, by the public who prefer to go by critics view than by the general public view.

However both the critics and the movie audiences do agree on one thing- that the performance by the leading pair Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor is commendable and it’s worth watching the chemistry between this fresh pair. So while the cash register of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions (producers of IHLS) is ringing continuously with the revenue of this current flick, K Jo has already taken another step forward to ensure that he keeps reaping such revenue in future.

A perfectionist film maker himself, Karan has once again signed Imran Khan for yet another flick to be produced by Dharma Productions. This unnamed film will be directed by another first timer Shakun Batra . IHLS was also Puneet Malhotra’s debutant venture as a director.

While Imran has been signed for the male lead role, his leading lady is still being decided. Going by the grapevine talks are on for approaching Kareena Kapoor to play the same. Imran’s fans however are not please with Kareena as choice to star opposite Imran, they think she looks much more mature than Imran and would hence totally be a mis-match for him.

His fans feel while they enjoyed the romance between the fresh pair of Sonam and Imran, they would detest seeing Imran paired up with Kareena, especially after they have just watched the glamorous actress star opposite Imran’s uncle- Aamir Khan in the movie ‘3 idiots’ recently.

Hope K Jo lends his his ears and acts on the public opinion in finding another suitable actress and if he still takes on Kareena , let hope poor Imran dooesn’t get shadowed by the mighty actress Kareena.

The 24 year old pop diva in a recent interview stated that she must not be judged by her looks cause despite her wild looks she is actually a very committed person and has a very ‘strong moral code’.

The ‘Bad Romance’ star very clearly stated “I would never cheat on a man; I believe in honesty and integrity. I am Lady Gaga because in private I’m a lady. I’m a feminist who believes in the importance of femininity. Don’t be fooled by the way I look - underneath all this I know exactly who I am and what my boundaries are. They are all important to me.”

But despite this coming straight from the Horse’s mouth, we arn’t really sure how much of it should we believe in, because just a year ago the pop star was in the headlines of all tabloids for being caught cheating by her then entrepreneur boyfriend Speedy and consequently being dumped by him.

Apparently the ‘Poker Face’ singer was photographed kissing another man in a restaurant in London. When this picture went public, Speedy dumped Gaga saying he was not into ‘cheaters’. Later gaga admitted that she ‘wasn’t cut out for love and marriage’ and preferred ‘music and art’ to anyone else ‘because no matter what happens they won’t cheat on her’ or let her down.

Now since the Lady has her music to replace her boyfriend and confesses she isn’t made for love, we wonder why she’s giving interviews saying she won’t cheat on men. Down the year has she already started missing them in her life?

It could have been an award-winning performance for LiLo had it been a movie and not her trial in Beverly Hills. Staring down a terrifying stint in a cramped Los Angeles County jail cell, an overwrought Lindsay Lohan made a weepy last-ditch plea for freedom, even invoking her charity work with Moroccan children at one point.

"I did everything I was told to do, I thought I was being compliant," Lohan, 24, cried as she tried to explain that she didn’t knowingly violate her probation in a DUI case by missing weekly alcohol-education classes. "I’m not taking this as a joke; it’s my life and career. I don’t want you to think I don’t respect you and your terms." And the weeping audience to her tears were her father Michael Lohan – himself no stranger to courtrooms due to his own battles with the bottle – and 16-year-old sister Ali.

In the end, the tears and tissues and smeared mascara held no sway over a very irate Superior Court Judge, Marsha Revel who sentenced Lohan to 90 days in jail, three times what prosecutors were seeking. She branded LiLo a serial liar. "I couldn’t have been more clear [about my orders]," Revel said. "There are no excuses."
Lohan was ordered to surrender to the court on July 20 to begin her sentence, probably at the women’s Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., where she previously served just 84 minutes of a 24-hour sentence nearly three years ago.
The actress is headed for Los Angeles County‘s Century Regional Detention Facility, an all-female jail that was a temporary home to inmates Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.

Upon her release from rehab, Lohan will still be forbidden from consuming alcohol until the remainder of her probation term which ends in August 2011.

Eminem’s back and with a bang! The latest from Em has rocketed to the top over releases from Drake, Miley Cyrus, Ozzy Osbourne and The Roots. Eminem’s Recovery sold like hot cakes to stack a staggering 741,000 copies — the largest sales week for a single album since AC/DC’s Black Ice debuted in October 2008 with 784,000 copies, according to Billboard.com.

Em’s making the other pop-stars look like minions with the colossal difference in sales including the new release from Miley Cyrus, Can’t Be Tamed (Hollywood), which sold 102,000 copies, and last week’s top-seller, Drake’s Thank Me Later (Aspire/Young Money/Cash Money) with sales of 157,000.

Backed by Dr Dre’s Aftermath/Interscope it’s Em’s sixth straight No. 1 debut. His only album not to open at No. 1 was his 1999 debut, the Slim Shady LP, which landed at No. 2 instead. As far as hip-hop acts goes, Eminem has the most No. 1 albums right behind Jay-Z who has earned 11.

Em’s music has always spoken to hundreds of millions of fans. Be it the extremely explicit The Marshall Mathers LP or over-the-top inspirational Lose Yourself Em has always shown great topical versatility and lyrical flow. After Em returned last year following his five-year hiatus, the biggest question was who would still buy his music. But laid low by depression and addiction, 2008′s Relapse was a vitriolic return. Now fully fit, his Recovery sees the rap star get back on his game better than ever.

The much awaited 3rd Instalment of the Twilight series has caused sudden disappearance of young teenage girls over the weekend. Well if you are still wondering where they have disappeared into, than let me explain that they have not been kidnapped or ripped by any Vampires but they are all busy inside multiplexes or theatres watching the "Eclipse" or else standing in the queue outside for the tickets of the next show.

The Second Instalment of the Twilight Franchise, "New moon" showed some huge sexual discrimination in benefit of fairer sex, with reports that up to 80% of the viewers were female or more specifically Teenage girls. The discrimination seems to have improved in the 3rd instalment of the series with 65% of viewers being female. That doesn’t mean a drop in female viewers, but rather an increase in the male viewers, who perhaps now have more reasons than just Kristen Stewart to watch the movie, which promises better screenplay. Or else they are perhaps being forced in for a company by their Girlfriends or Spouses. The movie for now has generated much better reviews than its predecessors, and is already on its way to become the best grosser of the Twilight series. Twilight fans have called it a big delight and are already posting views about the movie offering much more than expected.

With the movie all set to break its previous records, we just hope that the theatre reserve seats for the male counterparts. And the next time you walk into a Theatre showcasing Twilight, don’t mistake it to be a Female-only, until then all sympathies to the male counterparts.
