The release of Twilight Saga: Eclipse is sure proving to be a boon for all Twihards. Not only do they finally get to see the third installment but even their favorite stars are keeping the media blitzkrieg abuzz with juicy quotes and inside trivia. Just a couple of days back, Robert was going on all about how he would like to be the leader of a religious cult formed in his own name and there were even rumors floating about how he was going to form a boy band along with his costars of Twilight. So how Kristen could be left far behind Robert in hogging the lime light as long it lasts?

On one of her promotional tours for Eclipse her career was compared to Angelina Jolie’s. She was quick to reply that, "I don’t want to be Angelina Jolie. Not that Angelina Jolie isn’t the most talented, beautiful, successful, amazing, admirable person who does good things for the world, but I don’t want to be a movie star like that," . Now may be Kristen is actually looking to climb greater heights than Jolie? Do you want a religion named after her too?

She is always famous for all the wrong reasons, and she continues the tradition even on her birthday. Lohan has once again made headlines, and this time due to a waitress. Miss. Lohan has reportedly been punched by a nightclub waitress.

Lindsay and her friends reportedly headed to a Voyeur nightclub in West Hollywood to celebrate her 24th Birthday. Lohan was with her friends and British rugby player Daniel Cipriani. Lohan was partying with her friends when the incident is supposed to have happened. She posted a tweet on her official Twitter account which said; "A waitress just hit me-punched me for no reason”. She was also reported of hanging out with Doug Reinhardt throughout the party. Sources quoted that “Doug Reinhardt has a history with the waitress, and seeing both of them together she became jealous and out of nowhere punched Lohan in face”. Despite the incident, Lohan is reported of maintaining her cool and continued with the party. Now that’s in a true spirit of sportsmanship or is there anything like Celebrityship? Perhaps her ankle bracelet helped in keeping her calm. Lohan for now seems to be quiet and normal, and has shown no signs of alcohol or rash driving in post-incident scenario. I wonder what’s happening in newcomer Dough’s side.

British actor Andrew Garfield, a relative unknown in the acting fraternity, will succeed Tobey Maguire as the new Spiderman in the latest installment of the franchise, slated for a summer 2012 release.

This new edition of the franchise revolves around the formative years of the Peter Parker character and will be a prequel to the already released 3 installments. Garfield, one of Variety Magazine’s ’10 Actors to Watch’ (2007) also starred with Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep in the Robert Redford directed movie ‘Lions for Lambs’.

The first three films of this super hero series were directed by Sam Raimi and turned out to be blockbusters grossing nearly $2.5 billion worldwide and setting several box office records. The movies were released in 2002, 2004 and 2007, while the first two films received positive responses, the rating for the third film dropped a little. The 4^th in the series was slated for release in 2011 but has been delayed since Sam Raimi withdrew from the project.

Now Sony Entertainment is all set to bring the web action back to screen with a new Spiderman Andrew Garfield and a new director 35 year old Marc Webb of ‘Days of Summer’ fame. Marc Webb is already full of praises for Garfield and said "He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words; you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker."

The remaining cast for the movie including the villain is still to be announced. Spiderman 4 is slated to go into production this December and will be shot in 3D.

Movie buffs feel Sony is playing a huge gamble with the movie by re-casting it and they still hope that the movie’s character and not its cast manages to pull the movie along.

Paris Hilton has been having a super active day since yesterday. Just hardly had the socialite finished enjoying a thrilling match of the World Cup Quarter finals where the Dutch beat 5 times World Champions Brazil by 2-1, that she was arrested in Port Elizabeth on suspicion of possession of marijuana.

The socialite was detained and questioned by the police after one of her friend’s in her entourage, a freelance photographer Jennifer Rovero was allegedly caught smoking marijuana at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

The socialite however was saved of major embarrassment after her friend pleaded guilty in a FIFA courtroom. After Rovero’s pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, all charges against Hilton were dropped. Rovero on the other hand was sentenced to 1,000 rand fine or 30 days imprisonment.

Paris’s and her publicist Dawn Miller have immediately begun a PR exercise of ensuring that the socialite’s name is kept clear from this case. The moment Hilton was cleared from the charges she tweeted ‘Everything is fine guys. I had nothing to do with it.’  Miller on the other hand informed the media that Paris had been granted an apology from the police who detained her ‘since she had nothing to do with the incident’.

For 29 year old Hilton, arrest and court cases are nothing new and she has been detained and even spent time in Prison before and hence this experienced lady took this incident very confidently by her stride. Despite not being a football fan she tweeted "I was assisting the police with the investigation and answering their questions. Everyone was super nice and friendly to me. I love South Africa! Such an amazing place, especially during The World Cup!"

So now while her friend is being deported back to America, Hilton who had gone to South Africa for a ‘soccer and safari’ trip is still looking forward to her Safari.

Lady Gaga has overcome Mr. Obama in terms of followers on Facebook, twitter and youtube. She overtook Mr. Obama’s follower count of 9.4 million last week. She presently has more than 9.9 million facebook followers and 4.7 million twitter followers.

This week has been an all time great for the pop singer. She made a grand entry into the list of Forbes most popular celebrity. She thrashed greats as Britney Spears and Madonna to enter at the 4^th position. The 24 year-old performer released her first album two years ago. "Any moment, Lady Gaga is set to become the first living person to achieve 10m (million) fans on Facebook or, indeed, on any single social network," Famecount.com said on its website.

However, the story doesn’t end here, the people giving competition to Gaga might not be alive but posthumously they have made her winning a difficult task. Michael Jackson still has 14 million followers second to online game “Texas Hold’em Poker”.

Things are pretty messed up between the Robsten lovers. Earlier this month Robert had stirred up a controversy by openly stating himself as single and rebuking Kristen with snide remarks; and ,to add fuel to fire, Kristen Stewart has mad the table go round. Recently she said, “She still misses her lover!”

The Twilight Bella Swan rumored to be dating co-star Robert Pattinson, admitted she still thinks about her first love. She is still plagued with the thoughts of her first boyfriend. She was left devastated by the split. She said, “Everyone says the first cut is the deepest.”

She appreciates her first boyfriend as he was the first one to give her the experience and making her understand the meaning of love. She recognizes this fact and appreciates this! However, did Robert appreciate this when they were together, or is this the reason why they broke up? Nothing is in the clear yet, still we hope the couple is still together. They look great when they are as one! The reel love between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan has kept us swooning over them.

The ‘party girl’ it seems didn’t get to really enjoy her own birthday bash. The American actress, who turned 24 yesterday, will remember this birthday party of hers for lifetime for two reasons. Firstly because there is no way she could have alcohol, since she’s been ordered to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet currently and secondly because when everybody gets birthday bumps from their friends on birthdays’ Lindsay Lohan got punched instead by a waitress.

This incident came to light only after the birthday girl twittered "A waitress just hit me - punched me for no reason”. The ‘Mean Girls’ star was apparently celebrating her 24th birthday at Hollywood hot spot Voyeur nightclub on Thursday night along with some friends including Doug Reinhardt. The waitress who was later identified as Jasmine Waltz happened to be an ex-flame of Lindsay’s companion Doug Reinhardt and it appears she punched Lohan just out of sheer jealousy.

Reinhardt a reality TV star also happens to be the ex- boyfriend of socialite Paris Hilton. Sources also claim that when Lohan got punched, Reinhardt it seemed didn’t want to be a part of this event and went off to another side of the club, while Lohan left immediately. But it didn’t seem to be like Lohan’s day that day, because when the singer decided to continue her party at another venue-Rockstar House, she strangely ran into the same waitress again.

Jasmine Waltz, the waitress who too has shot to fame with this incident, however has another story to tell. Waltz claims that Lohan is ‘disturbed and delusional’ and says "I did not hit her… but I’d like to."

While it is being assumed that Waltz is likely to lose her job after this incident , Lohan’s fans still insist she go ahead and file assault case against the waitress and also immediately stop seeing a man such as Reinhardt , who conveniently turns his back when in need.

The 40 year old super model who has for almost a year been trying to avoid testifying in the war crimes trial of the ex-president of Liberia, Charles Taylor, has now be warned by the international court that she must appear in court for the testimony on July 29^th or else give an authentic reason for not complying with the subpoena. Refusal to comply comes attached with a 7 year prison sentence or a monetary fine.

Even before Campbell can react to this summon, she has now another issue to deal with. Her former agent Carole White has come forward and stated that Campbell did indeed receive diamonds from Charles Taylor. She stated ‘There were six small diamonds. They weren’t cut. They were in a bit of paper. I saw them. I had them in my hand.’ But White goes on to add that Campbell did not keep those diamonds with her but gave them away to Nelson Mandela’s charity, as anyways getting it out of South Africa would require illegal means.

Carole White has already given a statement about the events of that night to the Special Court in The Hague via her lawyer in London and she has also been told that she along with Campbell and Mia Farrow will be summoned to give evidence against Taylor. Campbell’s testimony that she did actually receive diamonds as gift from Taylor is necessary to prove that the former President did use rough diamonds for personal enrichment and arms purposes’.

Campbell has earlier stated that she did not want to get involved in this case as it imposed danger to her family. But with other witness stating otherwise it looks like the model doesn’t have much chance to tread backwards now.

So hopefully in two months time we’ll finally know whether Campbell did or did not receive diamonds and if she did whether they are with her or someplace else as the Nelson Mandela charity too has denied receiving any diamonds as charity from Campbell.

After his recent pompous comments about how he would like to be a leader of a religion and have even greater power in his hands, Robert has to go ahead and create even more tabloid coverage for himself if possible. With the release of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse over this week, this does seem to be a clever ruse by the Twilight people to grab as much media attention as they can to generate hype.

Robert Pattinson, Jason Rathbone and new Twilight addition Xavier Samuel, who plays the character of Riley in Eclipse, have apparently been having guitar sessions on the sets of Eclipse. “We do play together when we get the chance. Especially Jackson and Rob,” Xavier said. “They play the guitar but we’re not going to start a boy band or anything like that,” he added. Xavier already has some experience in these matters having sung for bands like “Hyatus” and “Degrees of Freedom”. “I don’t have any aspirations of becoming a musician or a rock star but I take the guitar with me because it helps me wind down,” Xavier said. “Because I’m a new addition to the saga, I can observe the other members of the cast and they are all down-to-earth people. I just take a leaf out of their book,” he added. So do Twihards need any new reasons for swooning over their idols?

His resume of movies comprises mainly of a bulk of action movies with the Mission Impossible series undoubtedly leading the pack. His other ventures have also been proven to be lucrative with the movies most notably associated with his name being Interview with the Vampire, Vanilla Sky, Minority Report, The Last Samurai, War of the Worlds, Tropic Thunder and Valkyrie.

Now one of his most critically appreciated and popular role as “Maverick” in Top Gun is going to be reprised by him for a possible sequel. Blockbuster producer Jerry Bruckheimer wants a follow up of his 1986 hit movie. “We were recently approached again to start talking about it but, you know, nothing yet,” Bruckheimer said. “We kicked around some ideas because the aviation community has completely changed since we made the movie. So we have to find a way in and how to incorporate the Maverick character into it,” he added. As of 2009, Cruise’s films have grossed over $6.5 billion worldwide. So guess that is a smart move by the producers to squeeze some more cash before the popularity of the character goes dry!
