Over the years I have admired Aamir Khan’s work. May it be his suave and charming avatar of “Dil Chahta Hai” or his composed exterior of “Taare Zameen Par”, he has always managed to surprise me with his choice of films. But his past two movies have been more than disappointing to me. Yes! I am the exceptional individual in probably the whole universe who did not like both “Ghajini” and “3 Idiots”.
While it is quite obvious that mass adoration of these two movies has reached fever pitch, I was stuck with the thought that the first one is a rehash of Nolan’s “Memento” and the second one lost its appeal in adding layers of spice to its outline.
Now instead of the calm aftermath I expected, the makers are back to milk this cash rich cow for one last time (Hopefully!). A book containing the original screenplay was released recently. Aamir Khan was missing from the action though, while rest of the cast was present for its support. Now the question is whether this book was released in answer to the Chetan Bhagat vs Vidhu Vinod Chopra scandal of few months back? What do you think?

I think you’re one of those people who hate on popular things just because they’re popular.
As I see no other reason to not like Ghajini and 3I, Ghajini was as much like Memento as 3I is like DCH, and as for 3I being milked that’s what corporates do they milk their products for all their worth and as long as people are willing to let them have their money I can’t blame them.
