Wondering what’s going to be the latest Gaga tune? An order of Benedictine nuns, cut off from the outside world, has signed a great record deal with the Decca Records part of Universal Music.
According to a news report by Daily Telegraph, the enclosed order, who belong to a convent near Avignon, France, won a worldwide search which took in more than 70 convents throughout the world. A deal with Decca Records part of Universal Music, which counts on singers like Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga, is likely.
One surely wonders if the reputation of the "Alejandro” singer has not reached the nuns. But for a secluded order of nuns, who have vowed never to step outside the Convent or have any contacts with the outside world, this is possible and the recording of all tracks and the entire shooting will take place inside the convent. Apparently, they chant their hymns eight times a day. We are sorry if you are wondering that the nuns would accompany gaga on her forthcoming tours!
"We never sought this,” the Reverend Mother Abbess said, “it came looking for us."
The search was launched by Decca earlier this year. The album titled "Voice: Chant From Avignon" is slated for release in November.
