It seems even superstars have bad times and latest news reports about Angelina Jolie’s childhood has confirmed it. Angelina Jolie is a successful Hollywood actress, mother of 6 adopted children and is married to superstar Brad Pitt. But what about her childhood? Was she always happy? Did she have a good upbringing?
Well, Andrew Morton’s latest novel “Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography”, claims that Jolie really had a very traumatic past because of the fact that she was abandoned by her mother at a very young age for many years. Jolie’s young age was marred by many problems like Drug Use, love of knives and a volatile bisexual love life. According to former babysitter Krissan Morel, Jolie’s late mother Marcheline Bertand virtually abandoned Angie after a painful 1976 split from husband Jon Voight. There have been reports that after the split, Angie was kept in a separate apartment for two years where she was cared by different nannies and baby sitters. Morton suggests that this became the root cause for Jolie’s self destructive lifestyle.
Even though Jolie has admitted of using drugs in the past but her description of her mother being loving and devoted have been proved wrong. Jolie’s mother Bertand died in January 2007 due to cancer but Morton admits that she is partly responsible for her “come here, now go away” personality.
Jolie’s currently busy with the promotion of her latest flick “Salt” where she plays a spy character and is set to release on July 23. The reviews of the movie predict it to be thrilling and exciting. But will it match the audience’s expectations?? Well only time can tell.
