Our very own Angie darling is gearing up for her forthcoming release “Salt”. Press interviews, photo shoots, and juicy rumors, you name it and she has done it. She is doing her best to promote her new flick and is all open to the queries of media. Jolie was once offered a role in one of the James Bond movies but she turned it down because she wanted to play the super spy herself.
"It started with a call from Amy (Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures). She asked if I wanted to play a Bond girl. I said, ‘No, I’m not comfortable with that, but I would like to play Bond’," Jolie said.
Her new movie finally gives her the chance of donning the garb of a super spy. It’s actually an action thriller about a CIA agent who gets into trouble when she is falsely accused of being a Russian spy. The character of the protagonist dishes out some pretty heavy duty action and Angelina seems quite adept at it. No surprises there if we give a glance at her past record. Tom Cruise had initially signed on to play the role, but dropped out at the last minute. Producers and screenwriters then rushed to adjust the part for Jolie, since it was originally written for a man. Most of us would agree that we would rather watch the scrumptious Jolie in the high adrenaline mode than Tom Cruise!
