2010 may not be Sandra Bullock’s year where her personal life is concerned but it sure is ‘The Year’ when it comes to her career. The 46 year actress won an academy award in the beginning of the year ; two months back she was ranked 8th in Forbes magazine’s list of the ‘World’s Most Powerful Celebrities’, a huge jump from her 92nd spot last year and now she has been declared as the ‘highest paid actress in Hollywood’.
Forbes has declared the ‘Speed’ star to be the best-paid actress over the past year. Forbes calculates these earnings taking into considerations pay on movies currently being filmed, as well as pay earned after release and earnings that actresses make from other means like perfume and clothing lines and ad campaigns.
Bullock topped the list thanks to her hit movies ‘The Proposal’ and the ‘The Blind Side’. Reece Witherspoon and Cameron Diaz both ranked second on the list, each raking in $32 million. Even though this has been Witherspoon’s movie-less year, she ranked second on account of the advance pay received by her for two up -coming films and her pay as the brand ambassador for cosmetic brand Avon.
‘Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston ranked fourth with $27 millions in earnings, followed by ‘Sex and City ‘star Sarah Jessica Parker in the 5th position with $25 millions in earnings.
Looks like Bullock’s little son Louis, has come into her life with a lot of luck for her and hopefully the actress’s worst days are gone along with her husband of 5 years Jesse James.
