CMA Awards: Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton becomes more than Winners

2010 CMA Awards night was much more than just an award function this time as Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton became much more than just winners in the major categories. They are now touted to be the new golden “IT” couple of the country music.

Both Miranda and Blake won the most coveted Vocalist of the Year award in their respective Female and Male categories. But the win doesn’t end there while Miranda got the Album of the Year for ‘Revolution’ Blake received the award for Musical Event of the Year for “Hillbilly Bone” featuring Trace Adkins.

Blake has been nominated for the top awards in the CMA since 2005 but this is the first time he won it, does that mean Miranda is proving to be lucky for this 34year old singer? Whatever it is after Faith Hill and Tim McGraw won the Artist of the Year Award in both female and male categories in 2000, it was turn of Miranda and Blake to take home these two top awards in the 44th CMA Awards night.

Backstage the couple was thrilled about their wins and more ecstatic about the others’ wins of the night. Miranda and Blake were both proud that their respective career are shaping up so well and escalating to a new height at the same time. On May 9, 2010 Miranda and lake got engaged, and now its really time ti celebrate for them.
