Wolverine is back! But minus the adamantium claws this time, even though, most of us wouldn’t mind seeing a new take on the clawed mutant. So we have him in a different, albeit interesting, role altogether as a struggling robot boxing promoter, in the year 2020, who thinks he’s found a champion in a discarded robot. However, during his hopeful rise to the top, he also discovers he has an 11-year-old son who wants to know his father.
Hugh Jackman has proved his mettle as one of the finest actors of the new millennia with his beloved portrayal of X-Men mutant “Wolverine”. This movie seems to have the juice to take him a few notches higher, in fact 19 different "animatronic giants" were created to shoot with while on set. The movie is called Real Steel and is based on a short story by Richard Matheson. "The moment of walking in and seeing these robots, my jaw was on the floor," Jackman said. The movie is being directed by Shawn Levy of “Night at the Museum” fame and is being adapted for a screenplay by Leslie Bohem and John Gatins. Real Steel is scheduled for release on November 18th, 2011 next year.
