Bollywood’s newly found poster boy, Imran Khan has topped the topped the people’s choice to play the role of vampire Edward Cullen in a poll. The nation wants to see him romance in the Bollywood’s remake of record-breaker movie ‘Twilight’. The Third film of the Twilight series, THE ECLIPSE is all set to release in India on July 30.The website named mid-day.com ran a poll to see which Bollywood actor fans wanted to play Robert Pattinson in its desi version. The cute and dashing looking Imran defeated Neil Nitin Mukesh (28 percent), Ranbir Kapoor (23 percent) and Shahid Kapoor (9 percent) scoring 40 percent votes in his favour.
Although, Imran is quite aware of the Twilight saga, but he admits he isn’t a big fan. He was quoted as saying,” I know it’s a huge franchise the world over and that the series has a huge fan following but I have not watched any of the movies. I know the third part is up for release, but I can’t watch it since I haven’t seen the first two. Maybe I’ll try and catch up on the first when I have time." Responding to the poll results he said he was really happy to be choosen for the role. But he continued to say that it was just a poll result and nothing has yet been finalized.
Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen has captured the imagination of Twihards all over the world. Finally on asking which actress he would cast as a vampire, Imran replied that Priyanka would look really nice in a vampire film with her jet black hair and intense eyes.
