It has been the latest fashion of the media to compare anyone and everyone young with the teen idol Justin Bieber. Be it Greyson Chance or Travis Garland, everyone has got a chance to share space with the teenage sensation!
But how far is it explainable to compare someone so famous and successful with an absolutely novice youngster? We don’t see any point bringing up a comparison between a superstar with someone who has just stepped into the showbiz world.
It was Greyson Chance, the 12 year old wonder kid on The Ellen DeGeneres Show who spellbound everyone with his performance on Lady GaGa’s “Paparazzi”. Not only was he super talented and had a perfect vocal coordination, but the fact that he had facial resemblance with the 16 year old Bieber and was found in YouTube also made him an apt choice for matching up to Justin Bieber.
Well, as a matter of fact, Greyson has been signed by Ellen for her new record label eleveneleven!
As if Greyson wasn’t enough that Travis Garland joined as a brand new comparison. The 20 year old shared the stage of American Idol with the Canadian singer on 19th May 2010 as a guest performer when the newfound talent drove the audience crazy with his debut single “Believe”.
And hence the comparison rolled on once again!
But isn’t it too early to compare fresh faces with someone so established and successful? Justin is an immensely successful and an internationally acclaimed superstar. Won’t the untimely comparison affect the performance of all the kids involved?
That’s quite right! The consistent assessment would not only affect the budding stars, but it would also have an impact on the performance of the cute petite singer.
Give the boys some space and time to grow before actually going into such comparison. Aren’t we right?
