The Award season has started and it seems the young blood of the music business is going to dominate this year’s show, at least in the American Music Awards performance section. As promised before by the association that more names will be added to this list, on Thursday night few more artists were named – Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Kid Rock.
Previously, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Pink, Bon Jovi, Usher and New Kids on the Block were named to take the stage for their performances. All these artists will perform at the AMA. The show is already going to be a starry affair as performances by these young singers will draw an immense following also throughout the year, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha and Katy Perry has ruled the charts so there is a really good chance that they will win a AMA.
Eminem and Lady Antebellum are leading with five nominations each, while the 16year old Canadian heartthrob is nominated in four categories and all of them are the major ones facing some tough competition. But going by the fan following that the teenager has it won’t be surprising if he bags a couple of the AMAs.
The American Music Awards will be aired by ABC on Sunday, Nov’ 21 at 8 p.m. ET and the winners will be decided by online voting.
