Justin Bieber is set for another hit—this time hopefully as a comic hero. Yes, but don’t be mistaken. Unlike other superheroes like Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Justin won’t have any super powers. The comic’s on a biographical footing. It would trace the rise of this Ontario-born actor as a YouTube sensation to a household name in the world of rock. The comic, slated for release in October, is going to be published by Vancouver-based Bluewater Productions.
Speaking to Washington Post’ Comic Riffs, Bluewater honcho Darren G. Davis , "His career so far is so unique because of YouTube and Facebook,"I was posting on Facebook about the comic book and Bieber has more fan sites than anyone and most have over 5,000 people in them. Technology is changing the way we create our idols."
The series “Fame” ,which includes the present comic, has also featured Twilight star Robert Pattinson and pop singers, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. "They (the Fame series) are geared towards the tween market. A lot of the fans of Robert Pattinson only view him as Edward and in the comic-book version we show him more than his characters. There are more to these people than what we see on screen.”
We hope the prankster makes his way to the hallowed world of superheroes with this.
