Katrina Kaif, the British Indian actress has not only managed to stabilise her career in Bollywood but has also become one of the most sought after actress in just over seven years of her career in the film industry.
Now with her foot firmly set in Bollywood, the ‘Rajneeti’ star has begun focusing on building the career of one of her seven siblings, her sister Isabel. Isabel has studied acting in New York and is now eagerly waiting for her chance in Bollywood. She says she’s awaiting the day she would become as famous as her sister,Katrina.
If the grapevine is to be believed Katrina is ensuring that her sister makes a debut appearance in one of her home productions and has roped in Farah Khan to direct the film. Earlier Katrina’s ex-boyfriend Salman Khan had taken upon him to push Isabel’s career ahead, but since Kat and Salman have parted ways, the onus is back once again on Katrina.
While the 26 year old actress is going out of her way to launch her sister in the film industry, going by the career graphs of other Bollywood siblings, we wonder Katrina or Isabel which one of the two sisters would phase out , since it’s rare to find two very successful sisters as A star Bollywood actress at the same time.
So, while Dimple Kapadia was a hit in Bollywood, her sister Simple, barely managed signing a few movies for herself. Similarly Kajol is still in demand today by a lot of directors, as opposed to her younger sister Tanisha, who is yet to play a significant role in an Hindi film.
Other sisters pairs where only one sibling as been able to make a good career in Bollywood include Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty, where Shamita has hardly given any remarkable performance. Same goes with Malika Arora and Amrita Arora., while Malika has earned herself a name via item songs and brand promotions, Amrita is hardly visible in the industry despite several repeated attempts.
The Kapoor sisters Karishma and Kareena, booth proved to be successful, but again Karina’s career picked up when Karishma had quit working after her marriage.
