The pop diva beat President Obama to achieve this milestone. But the 24 year old has still to add several more fans to get to the number one spot on face book as far as all accounts are concerned. Currently she stands at no. 6, following accounts like Texas Hold ‘em Poker, Michael Jackson, Mafia Wars, Facebook itself and the US TV show Family Guy.
The ‘Poker Face’ singer, whose career began just a few years ago, has been becoming immensely popular by the day. The hard working singer, who rarely takes a break from her world tours despite her health problems, also manages to release new albums almost every year. She has often taunted the other artists by saying “some artists take years; I don’t. I write music every day."
The Lady who lovingly addresses her fans as her little monsters is now very thankful to them for helping her set just another record. She recently posted a video thanking her fans and stating "Thank you so much for all of your love and all of your support and for sticking by me through the fame and the fame monster. Become my friend on Facebook," then blowing a kiss and saying "I’ll never forget you."
Her request it seems didn’t go unheard because several people did join her fan fare to help her cross the 10 million mark. The singer hasn’t only beaten Barak Obama on this social networking site but has also overtaken him on the micro blogging site Twitter.
So now while the pop star is going all out singing for her fans, her fans in turn are going out singing praises of the legendry Facebook Queen -Lady Gaga.
