Miley Cyrus is proving to be just another Britney Spears wannabe, with her onstage and offstage antics. The entire credit for her downward spiral cannot be just given to her; she has been considerably helped by the paparazzi too. Be it her outrageous sense of dressing or her smooches with female dancers, she has been the toast of gossip town. A far cry from her days as the innocent and bubbly Hannah Montana, she seems to feel at home with all the wild speculations surrounding her.
When “Gossip Girl” star Taylor Momsen was compared to Miley, in her ways, she lashed out venomously against the comment. “I’m not looking to be Miley f*cking Cyrus,” Momsen said. “I don’t care about the fame. I do it because I love music. I like making records and if people like them, then we’ll go along for the ride.”
There is actually not much in similarity between the two starlets, both of them just like to act and sing that’s all. Still, Taylor feels a need to distance herself from Miley, adding: “I think the Disney bubblegum shit that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression.”
That’s quite a commendable effort by Taylor to avoid comparisons. This should come as a wakeup call for Miley to take the reins of her life and just slow down.
