Direction: The Strause Brothers (Colin and Greg)
Star Cast: Eric Baflour, Donald Faison, David Zayas and Scottie Thomson.
Genre: Sci- Fi.
Skyline, as the name suggests, has the basic theme of an unidentified foreign object appearing suddenly from the middle of the sky emitting a strong blue ray of light, when three friends were returning from a late night party and suddenly get stranded in the emission.
The three friends played by Balfour as Jarrod, Faison as Terry and Thomson as Elaine quickly realize that the strong ray of light is there to devour whosoever dares to look straight into it and wipe that person out from the face of this earth. The movie is all about this UFO that has come into the realms of our planet with the sole purpose of total destruction of the human race with the emission of the powerful blue light.
However, the film has a lot of action, thrill and events to make one realize the importance of humans in the universe.
As has been the case with many such sci- fi films, this film too has a lot in terms of special effects and the extravagant settings with sophisticated equipment all making it one great big visual treat for the audiences.
The director brothers who have also produced the flick have left no stone unturned in trying to churn out one of the most interesting flicks in this genre. Considering the kind of effort and success the brothers showed in their earlier films-Xmen, Terminator 3, The Incredible Hunk etc, this flick too has their expertise at their best. A must watch for sci- fi lovers
