Pierce Brosnan, the Irish actor best known for his role as the secret service agent, James Bond in 4 Bond movies, is now for the first time going to appear with his son, actor Sean on the big screen.
The father son duo is teaming up to star in a big-budget movie ‘Bonded’. While 57 year old Brosnan has some 35 years of acting experience with him, his son Sean, 26 is no novice to the industry, he had his first acting cameo at the age of 12, wherin he played the role of a cabin boy in the video film Robinson Crusoe. Since then Sean has starred in a number of movies.
Considering that Sean was born to parents who were established actors it was but natural that he would turn out to be a bright star. Brosnan junior’s mother Cassandra was also a renowned character actress herself. By the time Sean was born in 1983, Pierce too had established himself as a creditable actor with his flicks like Remington Steele, Apart from acting, Sean is an accomplished writer of both poetry and prose. He is also a singer, formerly a member of the rock band ‘Leatherbelly’.
The movie, Bonded is to be directed by Mo Ramchandani, a childhood friend of Brosnan junior. The father and son will play the role of police officers in pursuit of a Mexican teenager who has been smuggled into the US as a sweatshop worker.
The pair is very excited about starring together as this would give them the chance to spend some quality time with each other.
Michael and Kirk Douglas, Jeff and Lloyd Bridges, Charlie & Martin Sheen are some other father & son duo’s that have starred in Hollywood productions together.
