Every true actor’s measure of potential is when he competes with the standards set by him and attempts to break them to the best of his ability, which strangely Robert Pattinson seems to be losing. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was released worldwide amidst much fanfare and expectations by Twihards and has already broken many records such as: biggest midnight gross ever, biggest Wednesday ever; and, widest release ever. But somehow it still lags behind New Moon in the numbers game.
After a period of six days Eclipse has managed to earn $175.3 million domestically, the biggest six-day haul of the year, and the eighth-biggest in Hollywood history. Despite all the glowing comparisons of how Eclipse is much better than New Moon in terms of performances and screen plot, it still lags behind New Moon by an almost exact amount of less than $4 million. New Moon, after six days, had taken in $178.9 million. A summer release was supposed to draw in more crowds but may be things are not going the way it seems. Perhaps the world is finally getting exhausted of the Twilight fever and no longer cares whether Team Edward or Team Jacob wins this war! I certainly feel so.

I’d just like to mention that Eclipse was not releases on the 30th June in Ireland & the UK. We had preview screenings on the 3rd & 4th July only!
I went both days.
Eclipse is finally going on general release tomorrow 9th July. & i know a huge amount of Twihards will be queuing to get in to see it. Me i’ll be back several times before it leaves the cinema. Eclipse is the best movie by far.
Just guessing but im betting the world isnt over the Twilight Saga but unlike New moon which we had to wait a year for, we just havn’t had that with eclipse, its only been a few months so the tension to see what happens hasn’t been as big. Also because everyone knows about the films the promotion has been less. Well it seems to have been promoted less in the UK. Also the younger audiences hav’t been able too see it yet as schools are not yet finished for the summer. So Rob Pattinson shouldn’t be so hard on himself if the crouds havn’t yet been as big as New Moon.
Oh come on noone is getting bored with it , that is laughable. IM IN ENGLAND and the film hasnt been offically been released here. I think the true twihards will stick with the saga. What i dont get is how they can say we are getting tired of it with only 4 million in it lol come on get a life lol.
Also keep in mind that New Moon sucked. Twilight was very good and kept with the book enough to satisfy fans. New Moon was full of horrible acting. Eclipse was wonderful - A little less like the book but still very good. I feel New Moon made more money only because Twilight was so good fans expected the same out of New Moon. But since New Moon didn’t live up to expectations with a male director I can see why come are worried about the 3rd installement with not only a male, but a male director who deals with horror films on a regular basis and not love stories.
Those who love the Twilight saga stay faithful to the movies. Eclipse will catch up with New Moon eventually. This having said, I must say the screen play of Eclipse tells a very poor story, it is nowhere near the story told in the book. So much has been taken out from the book that the film is a total disappointment.
here in albania the movie hasn’t been released on june 30th but on july 6th i went to see it and i love it i love robert pattinson

Have just watched Eclipse nd boy,it was awesome,i mean i like New Moon in books but like eclipse in movie series cause it is extremely intense nd action sequences totally roxx high-five!!! nd RPattz performance is breathtakingly mind blowingggggggggggggg.
