However, few people know that 45 year old Tatum O’Neal has worked in films as a child actress in the 1970s. She still holds the record of the youngest actor to win a competitive Academy Award. she had received the award for ‘Paper Moon’ when she was 10 years old.
Prior to his relationship with Farrah Fawcett, Ryan O’Neal was married to actresses Joanna Cook Moore and Leigh Taylor-Young. He has four children: Tatum O’Neal and Griffin O’Neal (with Moore), Patrick O’Neal (with Taylor-Young) and Redmond James O’Neal (with Fawcett).
O’Neal’s acting career took a backseat to her marriage to John McEnroe, the professional tennis player, for many years. She would appear in only five films during the next 15 years. She currently has one feature film in production, scheduled for release in 2009.
