The Social Network: A movie based on the origin of Facebook !

All of us have heard about facebook, except those who have been living under a rock for the past ten years. Now with the way success stories go these days, facebook is all ready to be made into a major motion picture. Sony Entertainment studios are the driving force behind this unique project. It depicts the struggles and triumphs faced by one of its co-founders Mark Zuckerberg, in making the website a worldwide hit.
The best decision has been actually made in the choice of director, with inclusion of Oscar nominated filmmaker David Fincher. Alien 3, Se7en, The Game, Fight Club, Panic Room, Zodiac and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button are his previous projects and as you can see it is quite an impressive list. The talented Jesse Eisenberg is taking up the role of Mark Zuckerberg. The script was written by screenwriter and producer Aaron Sorkin, of “A Few Good Men”, “The West Wing”, and “Charlie Wilson’s War” previously. It’s based on Ben Mezrich’s novel titled The Accidental Billionaires, about the founding of Facebook: “A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal.” Sony is bringing The Social Network to theaters starting on October 1st this fall.
