Though the famous spy movies actor, Daniel Craig, will not be picking up his gun for some time he will be picking up a pen in the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in which he will be playing a journalist. The movie is to be a Hollywood adaptation of the Swedish thriller directed by Niels Arden Oplev. The movie is based on a crime novel by late journalist Stieg Larsson. The movie is to be directed by David Fincher. David has directed movies like The Fight Club and has received academy award for the directing The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
However fans of the Vampire Diaries Franchise will be disappointed to know that Kristen Stewart will not pairing with Craig in the movie. Ellen Page, Carey Mulligan, Mia Wasikowska, Rooney Mara and Emily Browning have been selected by Sony Pictures as the hopefuls to play the role of hacker Lisbeth Salander.
The movie revolves around investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist, played by Craig, who is imprisoned for three months for hurting image of a billionaire. Lisbeth Salander is a private investigator. Lisbeth had an abusive childhood however she is a very resourceful person. She has a complex personality. Blomkvist investigates a girl who went missing 40 years with hopes that his name will be cleared in return.
