Earlier the record was held by its prequel Twilight: New Moon. The third part in the saga based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer is the chronology of love affair between a human and a vampire. The human role character of Bella Swan is played by Kristen Stewart and the role of the vampire Edward Cullen is played by Robert Pattinson.
The movie which was released worldwide on 30th of June screened 4,416 shows simultaneously. The Plato seems too pleased with them. The movie raked in 30 million dollars on account of night shows on the first night; and if you talk of the day you need an inhaler to revive hypoxia! It has collected 68.5 million dollars making it the history’s highest collector on a non-Friday. Summit Entertainment, the distributor too is having a gallant time out there.
