At first you might think Lady Gaga’s name has appeared by mistake in the list of Best-Dressed Celebrities, but slowly it will seep into you that the magazine which has published this list is very serious about it.
We aren’t really sure what is the criteria behind selecting Best Dressed Celebrities by the magazine ‘Vanity Fair’, but if Lady Gaga’s name appears in that list, then we are quite sure they have got their facts all wrong.
The pop singer who is known for her obnoxious dress sense, as much as she is recognised for her music always appears in public wearing some really bizarre outfits that generally include fishnet tights, see through lingerie and high platform heel-less shoes. Her annoying attire is accessorised by stuff like fake lobsters, beads stuck to her face and coke cans and to team it up, she’s always spotted with very heavy makeup.
Gaga’s fans have always loved her style and stated that a pop star requires attire like this, however not all think the same. Pop star Kylie Minogue stated that she wouldn’t dream of ever dressing like Lady Gaga.
Gaga on the other hand says she dresses like this in order to help men think. “A girl’s got to use what she’s given and I’m not going to make a guy drool the way a Britney video does. So I take it to extremes. I don’t say I dress sexily on stage – what I do is so extreme. It’s meant to make guys think: ‘I don’t know if this is sexy or just weird”, is what the ‘Bad Romance’ singer had to say.
Amazingly this weird style has got the lady a place on the list of world’s most stylish stars alongside Carla Bruni, Michelle Obama, David Beckham, and Javier Bardem.
So while Lady Gaga and her fans may be enjoying this accolade, wonder what the other 44 celebrities on that list may be feeling, after all they too have been judged by the same magazine as Best Dressed.
