British Celebrity, Katie Price, earlier known as Katie Jordan could not even enjoy her own wedding due to paparazzi menace.
The former model who is a regular feature of British Tabloids and celebrity magazines was marrying her boyfriend of two years, actor Alex Reid, this weekend at St. Paul’s Church in Woldingham, Surrey. The couple had apparently sold the right for the wedding pictures for £600,000 to TV channel ITV2 and hence wanted to avoid all other media.
But when a famous P3 celebrity gets married every media organisations wants to cover it, as a result when the bride arrived with her sisters at the wedding venue all hell broke loose. While the lens men wanted to capture Price dressed as a bride, the bouncers at the gate tried to shield Price with sheets and umbrellas and prevent the paparazzi from taking any pictures, a brawl broke out between the photographers and the security guards and eventually the police had to be called to take care of the situation.
That wasn’t the end to the 32 year old glamour model’s woes. Even once inside the church she faced trouble with some of her guests, who had also been sworn to secrecy regarding the wedding. Price had to ask 3 of her guests including her long term pal Julie Coates to leave the venue as she it seems didn’t ‘trust’ them.
Price was really put off by the scene created at her wedding venue and a rep later informed the media that “She is understandably shaken and upset by the actions of these people but is now looking to enjoy the rest of her day with her close friends and family."
This isn’t the first time this reality TV star is getting married to Alex Reid. The duo have said to have secretly t married in Las Vegas this February, but had promised to re-marry to celebrate with friends and family in U.K.
Whether the re-marriage was for a monetary gain of £600,000 or for friends and family we can’t really be sure, but we do hope that the TV channel that paid for the exclusive right to Price’s wedding, managed to actually get exclusive pictures and not lose out to other media.
