Katy Perry seems to be head over heels in love with her fiancé Russell Brand and she’s gone all out to prove so. The American singer, songwriter and musician has gifted Brand a trip to outer space for his 35th birthday.
British comedian Russell Brand turned 35 last month. The couple, who had been seeing each other since last year, got formally engaged this January.
The "I Kissed a Girl" star brought a ticket worth $2, 00,000 on the Virgin Galactic space cruiser for her to be hubby. Virgin Galactic is the first space ship built to take people to space. The ship can accommodate 6 passengers and two pilots and will go 68 miles above the earth’s surface. Once there the passengers will be allowed to unfasten their seatbelts and float weightlessly for five minutes before shuttling back to Earth.
This space package was introduced in 2008, but is still in testing stages and is yet to make its maiden journey with passengers. Despite this the company has received several bookings for this trip to the outer world.
Perry surprisingly has brought only a single ticket for this trip. Seems like she’s not interested in joining Brand up in space or is she petrified of taking such a trip? Financial restraints we are sure cannot be a reason behind not purchasing a second ticket.
Or maybe the lady who is known for her otherwise unconventional and skimpy costumes is really not interested into getting overdressed with a space suit, if that means missing out something as exciting as an adventure to space.
