Rafael Nadal defeats Roger Fedrer and Robin Soderling to claim world number !

Spain’s Rafael has shown it to the world that he is the lord of clay. He recently won the French Open. He crushed Robin Soderling with 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 to ascend the world’s top position among rankings. Roger Fedrer dropped to world number two.

The Spaniard was vanquished  in 2009 by Robin in the fourth round of French Open, and today by defeating him Nadal has shown a game class apart. He became the second man in tennis history to win five French Open crowns. Sweden’s Bjorn Borg holds the record of winning six French Open tournaments.

Rafael was highly emotionally charged after he defeated Robin. For him it was an amazing and emotional win.
