After finishing first in the 192 Km stretch from Vatan to Saint-Fargeau, Mark Cavendish is leading in the Overall Points Standing. The total distance covered in Tour de France till now is 1763.5 km.

In the 2008 Tour de France he won four stages, an unprecedented achievement for a British cyclist and he has since been described as the fastest sprinter in the world.
