Robert Pattinson, is out and out making confessions these days. Just a day ago he confessed of not having gone on a date for quite some time, thereby giving the media a hint that he’s single and not seeing his co-star Kristen Stewart.
And now the actor has made another stunning revelation, he says if it wasn’t for anti- anxiety medication, Valium he would not be the famous personality he is today.
The 24 year old star, who is best known for portraying the role of Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ movie series, has in his short career already won accolades like one of the ‘Sexiest Men Alive’, One of the Most Influential People in the World, One of the Highest Paid Actors and even has a wax statue of his at Madame Tussads collection in London and New York. All this fame has come to Rob, because of the success of his movie ‘Twilight’ and Twilight came to him thanks to use of a drug Valium.
In a recent interview with U.S news, Pattinson said that just a few minutes before he had to leave his home to go for the screen test for the role of Edward Cullen, he turned very anxious and needed help to calm his nerves, so he popped a ‘few’ Valium pills, that he took from a friend he was staying with. The British actor adds, “(It was) probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I remember thinking that even when I was in the cab on the way over there. I was thinking, ‘I want to get a prescription for these.”
Valium is drug used in the management of anxiety disorders. Since this drug may cause serious problems of addiction it should be used only by the person it has been prescribed to. So Rob now has us thinking, is he addicted to them? And even if he’s not, with the admission of this fact, he sure has given his teenage fans some misleading way to handle anxiety.
