For Alicia Keys, the American singer, musician and actress all news seems to be good news these days.
The 29 year old, multiple Grammy award winning singer, it has been confirmed will be performing at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup to be held in South Africa this June. The concert that will be held in Orlando Stadium, Soweto will be held on June 11th, the night just before the tournament kicks off and is expected to be attended by over 30,000 people.
The lady has two more reasons to celebrate. She is getting married and is expecting a baby too.
The ‘Fallin’ star has been dating music producer Kassem Dean better known as Swizz Beatz for quite some time . The couple have now announced their engagement and have even confirmed that they plan to exchange vows in a private ceremony sometime at the end of 2010. This would be Alicia’s first wedding but Beatz’s second.
Apart from giving several record breaking albums like ‘Songs in A Minor and ‘The Diary of Alicia Keys’, the singer has made guest appearances on several television series and has even acted in films like ‘Smokin Aces’ and ‘The Nanny Diaries’.
