What made more news, Argentina’s win over Nigeria or smartly dressed Maradona?

Debuting as Argentina coach on Saturday evening, Maradona, one of the best football players of all time led his team to a 1-0 win against Nigeria.
But audience round the world were not just watching the football match between Argentina and Nigeria, they equally had their eyes set on the former Argentina football hero and its current manager Diego Maradona.
The former football player, who has been honoured with the FIFA player of the century award, which he shares with Pele, was responsible for Argentina’s win in the 1986 World Cup and was also awarded the tournament’s best player that year. Though on the outer field this time, yet fans watched him in awe as he led his team to victory.
And the ex-football players’ coaching style is not all that’s being discussed; his attire too is one of the latest things being talked about across the globe among his fans. He was in the field in a suit and matching tie and not in his familiar training overalls. He wore two watches and donned a beard.
Not only that, Maradona who has also constantly suffered from ill-health and weight problems looked slimmer and fitter. So who got Maradona to don this new look, none other than his two daughters, who are there with him in South Africa. The duo is trying to make sure that their father who is debuting as a coach in the World Cup 2010 looked more elegant on the field bench. They ensured that he forgo his team tracksuit for a suit. His daughter also stated the reason behind his beard; she said “He hasn’t shaved since he had the accident with the dog. It is covering up a scar.”
As for the two watches, Maradona always wears two watches when he travels - one set to local time and one set to the time back in Argentina.
On field or off it, sport’s most controversial and newsworthy figure, is still able to hog the limelight, not only with his team’s win but with his dress style.
