The Twilight hunk, who’s currently working on his new movie Water for Elephants opposite Reese Witherspoon, grew so close to a dog on the set of his new film that he decided to adopt it.
A source was reported to have said, “The trainer said yes, but that it would cost Rob because he’s a show dog with special acting skills. Rob laughed and said he’d pay whatever. He loves that little pooch.”
Rob had been quite depressed with the death of his little pup, Patty, whom he regarded as a member of his family.
“I keep talking about my dog all the time. It was an incredible dog, and I said in an interview recently he was the most important person in my life,” the star admitted.
“My family went crazy with me for saying that. But, however ridiculous it may seem to some people, my relationship with my dog was a defining moment. Having the dog die was, literally, like the worst day of my life. It was like losing a family member.”
We understand, Rob darling, Water for Elephants has inculcated you some great values. But your fans look forward to something else, beyond just love for pets!
