Brad Pitt finally has a new project on his hand: To work with Shia LaBeouf in “Riptide”

The hallowed gossip corridors of Hollywood were abuzz with rumors of Brad Pitt being tired of his parental role in life and how he is not getting good enough roles for an actor of his caliber. With singular star power driven movies showing a declining performance in the box office and multi starrer flicks becoming the norm, Brad was last seen in Quentin Tarantino’s acclaimed “Inglourious Basterds” , that too in a miniscule role. His last solo outing was “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”.

Pitt plays a private investigator where as Shia plays the role of a young broker. The film follows a handyman, the young broker and the stock broker’s girlfriend who board a ship called the “Nautica”. One of the men is found dead floating in the sea and his girlfriend is found at a nearby hotel. Thus, the investigator is called in to figure out what happened and why. Richard McBrien has written the script with Peter Morgan rewrites it. Steve Tisch and Will Davies are producing crime thriller but the project is yet to find a director. Sounds’ interesting enough, Pitt is known for his exclusive script choices. Shia on the other hand is working on the shoot for “Transformers 3” and his new movie with Michael Douglas “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps” is going to release in September this year.
